Library Locations

The Gustavus Adolphus Pfeiffer Library is the physical branch of the Pfeiffer library system.  It houses over 125,000 print books along with print journals and physical AV, and provides access to extensive online journal, ebook and streaming video subscriptions. The library is open six days a week during the fall and spring semesters, and is located on the Misenheimer Campus next to the Student Center. The library employs four professional librarians and provides a computer lab and laptops.

Regular Library Hours:
Monday - Wednesday 8am -12am
Thursday 8am - 8pm

Friday 8am - 5pm
Sunday 2pm - 12am

Summer Library Hours:
Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm
Friday 8am - 2pm

Hours change during breaks and holidays.

The Misenheimer library supports the Health Sciences Building in Albemarle. All services, both in person and online, available to Misenheimer students are also available to Albemarle students.

All of our online students have access to all of the resources of the Pfeiffer Library System.

  • All online research resources are available 24-7 from anywhere with your Pfeiffer single signon password
  • We will mail books from our collection, and email articles from print journals we own
  • We will request articles and books for you via Interlibrary Loan
  • Our librarians are available by phone and email, or you can use our 24-7 online Ask A Librarian service. Click Contact Us above.
